Riverdale 2.21 Judgement Night

You guys, I don’t know where to begin! When Riverdale goes dark, it’s easily my favorite, show on TV! I hope you didn’t blink or missed an attack, a confrontation, the big Black Hood reveal and the body count is still rising!!!

• While North and South side of Riverdale rioted over the release and shooting of Fangs, Andrea whisked V away. ON the ride home, V found the real shooter, Mrs. Klump, Midges mother who still believed Fangs killed Midge. At the police station, V learned Hermoine is offering a 1 million dollar reward for the capture and murder of the Black Hood. Angered, V locks herself in the study and finds Hiram’s October surprise- an already written article exposing Fred’s affair with Hermoine. It would destroy Fred’s run for Mayor, but damage his wife’s rep too. The surprise on V when Hermoine is for this but soon Small Fry arrives ready to kill them. He takes out Andrea (RIP) but Hermoine kills him, in legit self defense. V has had enough and Hermoine may have too!
  

  
• The serpents were after Reggie who called Hiram for help. He was all like LOL no, probably because he was too busy making deals with Penny and the Ghoulies! Hiram is loving the destruction of Riverdale and setting up more!
  

  
• Last week, we were all worried for Cheryl who opened the door to the Black Hood! Don’t worry, Cheryl needs to no hero, she is one! And delivers an arrow to shoulder!
  

  
• You know who needed a hero? Toni, who the evil serpent queen Penny kidnapped!
  

  
• It’s not her! But her Juggy knew he only needed one back up! Speedy from Arrow Cheryl!
  

  
• Penny is going to attack Riverdale unless they get the Southside, but the serpents aren’t going down without a fight!
  

  
• Speedy Cheryl warned B what was going down and soon after discovering the Black Hood’s latest victim Dr. Mathers- who was treating Hal! The Black Hood calls her to tell her to go home or Alice dies! B arrives and Hal insists she and Alice watch home videos. It’s child-Hal being warned by his mother to not tell on his father for being a killer- the killer who murdered the Conways because they were sinners! Hal admits to being the Black Hood! He does deny the debate shooting though! That was someone else! After Alice taunts him, B and Alice subdue him and he is arrested!
  

  
• The faux Black Hood attacks Archie and gets away!
  

  
• In order to prevent the oncoming battle Juggy makes a deal with Hiram- who is bank rolling Penny and the ghoulies. He sacrifices himself! Penny has no intention of holding up the deal and they all attack Juggy. By the time Chonie call B and Archie, FP finds his son seemingless lifeless body!

• How did Penny kidnap Toni?
• Tonight’s episode shows what Hiram in charge would be like.
• So Hal listed his victims, Fred(survived), Grundy, Sugar Man, Midge, Dr. Mathers hmmmm no Chic . . .
  

  
• Also, even as a killer, Hal is still a cardboard.
  

  

Wow, just wow. If Juggy is dead (I doubt it), is the show going to embrace some supernatural and make him a zombie, ala Arfterlife with Archie? Next week is the season finale! I cannot wait!!!

Riverdale 2.20 Shadow of Doubt

So, Hiram proves he is literally the worst father ever while B tried to prove her own father is the Black Hood, but are there two Black Hoods running around. While all that was going, Fang was pinned as a murdered then became a target himself. No one is safe in Riverdale so let’s get started!

• Let’s us list the ways Hiram is the worst just from this episode alone. He allows his gangster friend’s sons to “court” his daughter for possible business connections, then when she tries to invest in a new (but ill-fated) one, he is no longer interested, he urges Archie to restart the Dark Circle only so he can pay them to do his bidding, and then he urges teenage Reggie to become a murderer! Oh if that’s not enough, he’s pretty much forcing his wife to run for mayor even though the Black Hood could take her out at any minute. Hiram Lodge is literally the worst!!!
  

  
• I still think Archie is the second worst!
  
• Also this week we had two confessions that we kind of already knew from the musical episode. Moose confessed that Midge told him she was cheating on him with a serpent! Fangs confessed that he was that serpent. For some reason the person most angry and offended by this is Reggie, who was NOT MIdges boyfriend. Anyway, Juggy’s video where he lowkey caught Fangs and Midge leaked, Fangs is arrested and everyone assumes because of this, that he murdered Midge. Wouldn’t the angry boyfriend (Moose) be more of a suspect? Anyway, Siera to the rescue and Fangs is only held because he had a pocket knife in school (is this a real punishment?) Fangs is freed and Riverdale wants blood. Reggie wants to kill (at Hiram’s urging- see above) and Archie tries to stop him and fails. Fangs is shot.
  
• Finally, B has realized that father is most likely the Blackood and goes to the one person who can understand her and had a murderous father too! Cousin Cheryl Together, B and Cheryl investigate Hal, including stealing a lead from Alive to view a body that was NOT Chic.
  

  
• After breaking into Hal’s secret B&B room that he is still paying for, among other clues, Cheryl tells her cousin it’s time to confront her father.
  
• B confesses to having a darkness and delivering Chic to the Black Hood and Hal was like . . .
• But he agreed he knew this darkness too (probably because he’s the Black Hood). When the Black Hood attacks the mayoral debate, Hal helps get B to safety. So, if he was in the shooting range, who was aiming at Fred and the candidates?
  

  

  B confronts Hal about the book the Black Hood used to make the code only she crack and he says it was going to a birthday gift, because you know, Happy Birthday, daughter. Here’s the book a killer made you use to track his next move!
• Still not believing him (but having confessed to what she and Cheryl did) B wants to meet her father at Town Hall, hust him her as it should be, Black Hood and daughter!
  
• But . . . the Black Hood shows up at Cheryl’s house and Scene! OMG she’s in so much danger!
  

*****Extra Tidbits*****

• Papa Poutine’s son, small Fry is looking for Archie because Hiram is telling everyone Archie killed Papa Poutine . . . is Small Fry’s mother Medium Shake? (It's a small fry from McDonalds)
  
• Even though he was singled out as the next victim, Fred had no issue throwing Shade at new sheriff Minnett because he’s so in Hiram’s pocket and couldn’t stop the Black Hood either, LOL!
• Speaking of Riverdale PD, they released a prisoner to an angry that should have dispersed for their resident’s safety and did absolutely nothing!!! I hope Siera brings a case against them for Fang’s most likely death.
• Jaquine returned for a hot minute and had no scene with Kevin!

That’s all for this week and I am so on edge because our girl is facing Riverdale’s angel of death! I need next week’s episode now!!! I have faith she’ll survive. She better!!! Until then, stay #RiverdaleStrong!

Riverdale 2.19 Death Proof

You guys, it feels like the first half of season 2 again and I love it!! The Black Hood is officially back calling and he’s getting right down to business. Someone got exactly what they deserved and we may have our first true hint of who he is! It’s time to listen to serial killer ringtone Lollipop!

• This week, Sheriff Keller is on the case and we learn that Ethel was indeed behind the letters Kevin received last week, but it was only because Cheryl was given the role she wanted and she meant no home. Poor Ethel, what bad timing! I can’t handle Barb crying.
  

  
• Our first big story this week was Nick St. Sicko’s return wearing a Balck Hood-ie to get revenge on Archie and kidnaps to hold him for ransom.
  
• V goes to her parents who will surely help Archie since he’s in the family now and they were like, LOL NO!
  

  
• After beating Archie up (which let’s be honest he deserved for beating Nick up while he had two broken legs) Nick proposes the V spend the night with him and he’ll release Archie. In reality he plans to kill Archie, but V goes through with it, unaware Nick plans to record them.When V shows up, Archie breaks free, but when he arrives, he is too late . . . V rufied Nick and held him for ransom.
• She got a cool mill from it.
  
• Archie isn’t mad of Hiram for not helping him, he wants to “earn his bones” by killing the Black. (Sigh with me everyone or roll your eyes- whichever you prefer)
  

  
• So Midge’s funeral happened and the vixens wore black . . . cheerleading outfits. Is this really appropriate?
  

  
• Cheryl sang during the opening which kind of makes up for her not being Carrie throughout the musical episode, keywords kind of! Cheryl wants blood and wants demands Sheriff Keller step down.
• This makes an ally in Hermoine (uhg) who wants to win more votes
  

  
• This also sadly puts Kevin and Cheryl at odds
• And poor Sheriff Keller is even asked to step down by the deputy mayor which puts his future in the hands of of whoever wins the election. Fred- he stays. Hermoine- he goes
  

  
• Finally, the biggest story of the night. Juggy thinks Chic is the black hood and B first takes up for her brother then decides they need to find out more about him. A visit to the Quiet Sisters of Mercy shines light on the fact that Chic is indeed not a real Cooper. Chic confesses that once Alice turned him away (apparently something that did indeed happen) the real Charles OD on some Jingle Jangle.
• Chic becomes stabby happy and B is having none of that!
  

  
• Alice runs to her true love to tell him their son is dead!!!
  

  
• B gets a call from the Black Hood, because you know everyone has an upbeat ringtone for their neighborhood serial killer, right? He wants Chic but B refuses while picking up hints to get to the truth.
• #Bughead learns that Chic killed Charles because . . . that’s what he does.
  

  

  
• B went dark you guys and once she found out the truth, she gave Chic to the Black Hood. Hand delivered him! (Thus becoming a total accessory to murder-even if he deserved it.)
  

  
• When B returned home and lied to a sobbing Alice, she realised a key person was missing while the Black Hood was most likely killing the impostor that killed her brother and that person is her cardboard father- HAL!!!
  

  

*****Extra Tidbits*****

• Hal does have emotions you guys, he just doesn’t show it in his face!
• Archie said they are all in danger including V because they all escaped the Black Hood and Archie is WRONG! Those in danger, that actually escaped the Black Hood- Fred, Himself(Archie) Moose and B! The rest of them were never actually targets that escaped him, but let’s be real. He’s killing sinners. None of them are safe, but those four, possibly sans B because he’s creepily obsessed with her should be worried.
• Oh, and maybe Ethel . . .
  

  
• Did Penelope and Claudius actually leave that easily? Surely not? I mean they were at the funeral.
  

  
• SO, B is starting suspect what I have for a while now. Hal is a contender for the Black Hood and would makes sense, especially for how suspicious and jealous was of Chic. He’s been my pick for a while, so let’s see . . .
  

  

The Black Hood is my favorite storyline of Riverdale thus far! It’s so fun and in season three we will have to move on, but I’m going to enjoy it until then (and hope that we don’t lose anyone else important. Maybe he can find Nick St. Sicko next or I’d be okay with Hiram too!) Until next week, stay #RiverdaleStrong!
