Riverdale 3.8 Outbreak

Does Riverdale know how to do a mid season finale or what? The G&G story is full throttle but our heroes are gaining some ground, finally as Archie continues run! There's a lot to digest , so let's dive in, but no fizzle rocks allowed!

You get Seizure and You get a seizure:
Here's list of people that had seizures tonight:
The Vixens
V
Toni
Penelope
-Cheryl did not and I'm thinking she's immune!

V & C
- Cheryl became V's best friend and ally this week since B is locked away and Toni is on the mend, but these two got things done! They confronted most of the Legion of the Doom who plan to shut down Riverdale High, syrup-boarded Penelope until she admitted Hiram's plans and constructed an army to stop the Lodges. Sadly it was too late . . .

B & Ethel
- As much fun as it is to watch B make Ethel jealous over the Gargoyle King, I am glad we get normal Ethel back, but how good was it to see B lock her away! LOL
- The Gargoyle King is just a demon statue . . .
- B is the perfect Griffin Queen!

Archead?
- Tonight we met Juggy's mother, Gladys and Jellybean (who goes by JB now)
- I was thinking that I'd loved to see Gladys vs Penny, the snake Queen and then she popped up, only to be taken down by JB in one shot!
- Gladys would then deal with her!
- In the end, from info she gained from serpent queen, Gladys had to break up Archie and Juggy, for their own good and called their fathers to come get them.
- I love that Gladys thought Archie and Juggy were in a romantic relationship. I am okay with this except for that fact Juggy is way too good for him.
- Juggy & FP once wanted to leave Riverdale, but now they can't get in, as the sirens blare!

And finally

- I know it's candy but why does Riverdale High take so easy to these drugs, huh #Koose?

- #Choni became move in official!!!

- I love that Gladys cares for a kid she calls Lugnut!

- Fred is kind of a horrible parent, letting his 16 year old son run away alone? What will Molly Ringwald say?

- I hate that the writers want to make Archie so irresistible by every woman ever including young Jellybean?

- B knows how to get things done!

As the sirens blare and Hiram has Riverdale police-less, school-less, and hopelessly addicted to drugs and pop fizzle rocks, we see him toast a very physical and present Gargoyle King, that I still believe is Edgar!!!!

We're off until January 16! What will Riverdale be when we return if anything is left at all? Has Hiram really won the Kingdom? How long will Archie ditch his Kool-Aid colored hair? I look forwarded to finding the answers to all of these questions and more. Until then, stay #RiverdaleStrong

3.7 The Man In Black

I was pleasantly surprised that the once again, the seventh episode was an anthology type episode, divided into 3 stories that focused on our core four, all connected by Hiram Lodge! Let's dive in:

Archie and Juggy
- This train hopping duo came across a farm straight out of children of the corn!
- It literally took Archie 5 minutes before he made out with Laurie Lake.
- Juggy explores the town, Athens, finding it deserted of all men (and most adults . . . children of the corn) where he learns drug laced Pop Rocks ruined the town. Who brought them and G&G to small town? Surprise surprise, Hiram Lodge.
- Juggy saves Archie and the two high tell just as Laurie was ready to hand Archie over.

V
- I see why this story was in the middle story, let me sum it up for you:
- V swears off her father and moves out. Her father offers her advice she doesn't want. Turns out she needed it. The end!
- What did we learn? Ellio is a dirty cheater and V and Reggie actually have some chemistry . . .

B
- The last story was the best story and B carried it like a champion.
- While she fakes her way through the cult lead convent, B gains a roommate in Ethel, who believes she is destined to be with Juggy.
- Inner monologue B is best B!
- The sisters are giving the patients drug laced Pop Rocks, provided by, you guessed it, Hiram Lodge.
- Ethel has so downed the Kool-Aid.
- Turns out the gargoyle King has an office in the convent.
- B runs into a wall, literally in her plan to escape and Ethel tattles her out.
- After being drugged, she is taken to the Gargoyle's King office, where she screams and the next thing we see is complicit B! Nooooooooo

- Best line of the night was B's "this pyscho b!tch!"
- I also have to say B vs Ethel over Juggy was kind of fun and I hope we see more of this!

- Minetta is dead and no one cares and we all know it was Hiram.

- I'm sorry, but no one thinks Juggy and Archie are brothers . . .

-Claudius appeared delivering Maple syrup to the Silent Sisters of Mary that they definitely don't serve the patients.

- B really should have flushed her "candy"

- I really hope the seventh episode of the future seasons stay as a little anthology all connected by the big bad, but I have to say I was disappointed that not one of them focused on Cheryl, Toni, Kevin or Josie. Here's hoping for a better breakdown next year!

Next week takes us to the mid season finale and I cannot wait. B still needs to escape, we'll finally meet Mama Juggy and Jellybean next week, and Cheryl and company desperately need something to do, that doesn't involve dying. Until then, stay #RiverdaleStrong

Riverdale 3.6 Man Hunter

Tonight was all about proving Archie's innocence, while #Bughead tried to get to the bottom of the G&G mystery. We lost another minor character and Archie finally left town, but took a fan favorite with him, while B is in more danger than ever! Le'ts get to some random thoughts:

- How unconvincing was Josie under Minetta's pressure to find Archie? No fear, Evelyn would speak and Josie suffered a seizure. Also, Reggie was so LOL insinuating he was watching porn all day.

- After Juggy reported seeing a new "gang" of Gargoyles worshiping the Gargoyle, The serpents begin their search for Joaquin and literally find him easily. He tells them Archie is marked for sacrifice. I know Joaquin lost his life, but I am worried how Kevin will take the news . . . but he has Moose to comfort him.

- I just can't with Archie wanting to do everything himself, when his rich power girlfriend is doing literally anything and everything to clear his name. At least Kevin gets to pal along. I'm not going to lie, I missed why the mines were so important other than discovering the Shadow lake boys bodies. So, Archie sneaks into a hospital unnoticed while wearing a cap and hiding in a corner? Way to stay undercover Kool-Aid. Could Fred have been any louder in the hospital asking Kevin where Archie was?
- I thought this was the moment I had been waiting for, Archie leaving Riverdale!!! I'm okay with him breaking V's heart, but I am NOT okay with him taking Juggy with him!

- Finally, B got the most done about solving the recent murders and she did it all by herself.
- Props to her for confronting the Midnight Society.
- It took all of five minutes before someone blamed Penelope. She just wants a brothel people!
- Penelope blames Darryl Dalton who died allegedly of suicide, but B discovers that is not true.
- All of her hard work led to her and Alice receiving a house call from the Gargoyle King who had obviously broken into her room and pretty much told her and Alice they were next.
- And all of this landed her in the dreaded Sisters of Mercy where everyone seems to be a part of the farm!

Other Things:
- While I buy Juggy's theory of Hiram being the Gargoyle King, I still say Edgar!

- Was it just me, or was FP acting weird tonight?

-Speaking of FP, he admitted her saw the Gargoyle King as a teenager but was high on Pop Rocks.

- If you blinked you missed Cheryl tonight.

- Poor B. Juggy has gone, but we all know she will save herself. If not, I know a certain red hero that has beef to settle with the Sisters.

That's all for this week. As B will no doubt have to do, stay #RiverdaleStrong!
